Swamp Thing!

When I was asked if I could create a Swamp Thing sculpture as a private commission I jumped at the chance. As a child I loved the character's strange internal logic and design and watch the live action TV series whenever I could find it.  This version is more specifically my take on the Steve Bissette version (my favorite design).

Since this was a fast one-off project that would have layered, gnarled roots all over it I chose to make a Super Sculpey original rather than mold and cast a from oil clay. This proved to be the right choice from the painting perspective as well as I could skip doing multiple primer passes and just get to work painting this thing ASAP after it cured.

This was the most fun I have had in a long time.
